In order for the diver to succeed with his tactical acoustic behaviour in relation to mines, he should gain a deeper understanding of the acoustic sources that are present, how to deal with them and train in conditions as close to reality as possible.

The six main acoustic sources that can be linked to IS-MIX are:

Hydrostatic valve

By-pass valve

Dosage regulator

Buoyancy

Exhalation bubbles

Scraping noise.
