The purpose of the check before dive is to ensure the functionality of the IS-MIX immediately before diving. This is done by the diver and the dive attendant/leader.

1. Make sure the cylinder valve is fully open and reversed a ½ turn.
2. Check that the cylinder pressure is sufficient for the intended dive.
3. Check that the reserve gas valve is reachable and pushed in.
4. Check that the dosage selector is correctly set according to the gas used.
5. Check that the switch-over valve is set to rebreathing position.
6. Check the buoyancy compensator:– Check that the valve of the bail-out cylinder and the buoyancy gas cylinder are fully opened and reversed a ½ turn.– That the bladder can be filled by pressing the inflator button.– The dumping handle can be reached, and is not obstructed by equipment if the jacket weights are used.
