Filling canister
Note: WARNING!The absorbent can cause burns to skin and eyes. Handle the absorbent carefully and avoid inhalation, skin and eye contact.

Canister packing (schematic view of component parts)
- Open the lid of the canister housing.
- Place a pad at the bottom of the canister.
- Cover the canister's centre hole with the lid from the absorbent gasket.
- Fill a third of the canister, attach the lid to evenly distribute the absorbent in the canister.
- Tap with your hand on the side of the canister so that the absorbent is well packed.
Note: WARNING!Do not fill the canister with the absorbent dust often found at the bottom of absorbent packings.
- Repeat the filling and packing as above until the canister is full. The absorbent level in the canister must be even and 1-2 mm below the top edge of the canister (any excess can be scraped off)
- Place a pad and then the lid on the canister and push into position so that the lid attaches
- Make sure the canister is well packed by pressing moderately on the absorbent with your thumb through the mesh. The canister should be packed tightly enough so that your thumb does not leave any traces in the absorbent
- Shake the canister, no clattering noise should be heard (absorbent too loosely packed)
- Check that the canister's centre hole and the holes in the canister tabs are free from absorbent.
- If diving is to be performed within a week (7 days), the canister can be fitted to the IS-MIX provided that the breathing circuit is sealed and is airtight. Fit the mask or mouthpiece assembly with closed plug valve.If diving is to take place after one week but within two weeks, the canister can be placed in the airtight storage box and marked with expiration dates.
