Pack the IS-MIX for transport to the dive site

If diving is to take place at a date later than the prepared time, the equipment should be packed in accordance with these instructions. In order to protect the breathing hoses with full face mask and pressure gauge, store them inside the cover of the IS-MIX when the equipment is transported.

Note: NOTE:The IS-MIX should be laid horizontal with the cover facing up during transport, but can be laid on the cover during transport where the equipment may be subjected to shocks or impacts.

Tip: In order to distribute the weight of the IS-MIX during transport, the bellows weight can be removed which may also simplify the assembly of the equipment on the diver. For repeated dives, the bellows weight may be stored at the dive site which thereby simplifies the transport of the IS-MIX.

Note: NOTE:The bellows weight should be handled with care as it is made of lead and may deform.
  1. Place the pressure gauge on the bellows. Turn the mask 180 degrees ensuring the hose is in the loops and put the mask/mouthpiece on the bellows with the visor upwards.
  2. Fit and secure the cover with the straps.
  3. Make sure the switch-over valve on the mask is set in bail-out position and the cylinder valve is closed during transport. The design of the IS-MIX means that a little gas (a control flow) is continuously consumed if the cylinder valve is open.
Note: NOTE:During transport in rough seas there is a risk of damage to the IS-MIX. Secure the load if this is the case.

Tip: During transport several IS-MIX may be stacked on each other. To do this, turn the pieces of apparatus 180º in relation to each other, and the cover and chassis will fit with each other.

To avoid the IS-MIX being damaged when transporting long distances, it should be packed in its transport box.

The IS-MIX may be used for diving within 24 hours of a completed preparation process. If more than 24 hours has elapsed, the equipment must be prepared again before use.
