Dive Hose Handling

Dive Hose Handling

To avoid kinking of the supply hose it is important to wind the hose in such way that it is free from twisting (kinks). The high pressure diving hose should be wound up pressurized in figures of eight with a diameter greater than 500 mm (> 1.5 feet) for each turn. The diving attendant, or other responsible person, must ensure that the hose is handled in such a way that any possible twisting (kinking) of the hose is reduced.

Note: NOTE:The first time a diving hose is used it can twist about four turns when it’s pressurized. Therefore unwind the diving hose and stretch it out in its full length. Pressurize the diving hose and wind it in the correct way. Lift and carry the PX+ regulator when winding the hose. Release the pressure. Secure the diving hose with the supplied winding frame or with rope or straps to hold it together during handling and transport.

The ends of the diving hose should always be protected from water and dirt. When not in use the PX+ quick coupling is protected by parking it on the bail-out quick coupling. The dust cover protects the diving hose inlet.
