Absorbent

Absorbent is the active substance that absorbs carbon dioxide from the exhaled gas, the gas in the circuit will then be possible to breathe again (with respect to carbon dioxide).

Note: WARNING!Before handling the absorbent, the user/operator must have read and understood the information in the safety data sheet for absorbent, see the ”Safety data sheet” chapter.

To use IS-MIX's capacity optimally, we recommend Sofno lime or other lime approved by the RNLN for use with IS-MIX.

The Sofno lime absorbent's action time (typical) is 235 minutes.

Operation time, function and material compatibility are only guaranteed when using the recommended absorbent. The apparatus can be used with other commonly used absorbents.

The absorbent is not flammable and not classified as dangerous to the environment. Any accidental emissions can be swept or vacuumed up.

If the absorbent causes personal injury:

Inhalation: Move the victim to a area without any contaminants. Seek medical advice.

Skin contact: Soak in clean water. Seek medical attention if the skin becomes inflamed.

Eye contact: Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Seek medical advice.

Ingestion: Wash the mouth thoroughly. Seek medical advice.
