Connect regulators, hoses and check the tightness
- Bail-out regulator:
- Connect the bail-out regulator's hand wheel coupling to the right cylinder valve and tighten with moderate hand pressure.
- Connect the bail-out breathing valve to the bail-out breathing hose.
- Pressurise the bail-out regulator by gently opening the cylinder valve.
- Check the bail-out breathing valve by temporarily connecting it to the switch-over valve on the full face mask (or breathing directly into the bail-out-valve housing/push the purge button.)
- Place the DPX hose and the bail-out breathing valve in the right pocket of the buoyancy compensator, to avoid the quick connector becoming dirty.
- Buoyancy regulator:
- Connect the buoyancy regulator's hand wheel coupling to the left cylinder valve and tighten with moderate hand pressure.
- Check that the buoyancy hose's quick connector is clean and guide it over the shoulder of the buoyancy compensator, through the rubber bands and connect it to the inflator.
- Pressurise the buoyancy regulator by gently opening the cylinder valve.
- To avoid the quick connector of the suit hose becoming dirty, place it in the left pocket of the buoyancy compensator.
- Check the buoyancy gas filling by use of the inflator. Fill the bladder until the overflow valves opens.
- Wait 1 min and check the tightness. The bladder should be equally hard as after filling. Empty the bladder with both drain valves to check their functionality.
- Check that the buoyancy compensator's cylinder valves are closed for storage and transport.
