Check and fit cylinders

Check and fit cylinders

  1. Check that the protective plug on the cylinder cannot be removed by hand. If it can, take another cylinder and return the other one for filling.
  2. Remove the protective plugs from cylinder valves with a 23 mm U-spanner.
  3. Remove the safety plugs on the hand wheel couplings to the regulators and filling hoses.
  4. Check that the cylinder connections and hand wheel couplings are free from water, particles and other dirt. Make sure the O-rings on the hand wheel couplings are in position.
  5. Blow the cylinder connections by quickly opening and re-closing the cylinder valves.
Note: WARNING!Blowing noises and pressure impacts can cause hearing impairment. Always wear ear protectors when filling or emptying gas cylinders.
  1. Place the one-litre cylinders in the cylinder cradles, and make sure the cylinder valve's connection is in the hole on the support arm.
  2. Tighten and secure the tension strap around the cylinder and park the tension strap's handle in the intended slot.
