Careless handling

Careless handling

Note: WARNING!Pressurised systems must always be handled with care. In extreme cases, parts under high pressure may fail, which may cause a lethal hazard.

Knocks and/or impacts to unprotected threads may make it impossible to connect parts.

Knocks and impacts to the gas cylinders can cause damage that could affect its strength negatively. Any damage must be checked by an authorised maintenance officer.

Knocks and/or impacts on parts made of plastic may cause deformation and/or cracks. This reduces the performance of the equipment. The visor of the full face mask is especially sensitive to scratching.

Knocks, impacts and cuts to hoses may cause a hose rupture. Following a hose rupture to the pressure gauge, the functionality of the pressure gauge will fail, but the gas loss is reduced as only a small flow passes through the pressure gauge hose which has a flow restricting nozzle to minimise the loss of gas.

Note: WARNING!Following a hose rupture to the inhalation hose to the IS-MIX, the breathing function for the IS-MIX will fail completely.
