Donning of IS-MIX and DPX

The diver dons the IS-MIX apparatus according to standard procedure.

  1. Adjust the IS-MIX safety belt and connect the diving hose with its relieving loop to the IS-MIX safety belt.
  2. Disconnect the parked hoses on the IS-MIX pressure gauge as well as on the PX+ regulator (if connected).
  3. Connect the PX+ quick coupling hose to the IS-MIX pressure gauge and the DPX hose on the IS-MIX bail-out regulator to the PX+ bail-out quick coupling.
  4. Put the PX+ regulator in one of the pockets on the buoyancy compensator.
  5. Close the bail-out cylinder and the IS-MIX gas cylinder.
  6. Pull the reserve valve.
  7. Perform a by-pass and check that the pressure gauge shows <20 bar.
  8. Perform a by-pass and check that the warning is activated within 55 +- 15 sec on the IS-MIX.
  9. Set the switch-over valve in bail-out position and test the bail-out breathing valve. Then return the switch-over valve to rebreathing position.
  10. Don full face mask (if not done) including communication.
